ABOUT

I’m Hao, a designer with a background in architecture, now pursuing an M.S. in Design Technology at Cornell. I design experiences where physical space and digital systems meet, and I build working prototypes to test them.

My projects turn complex spatial problems into clear, usable tools: a tangible interface that gives architects real-time feedback on physical models, an AI assistant that helps remote workers choose housing that fits their life, an AR experience for exploring a campus, and a community-centered service design. I start with people, through interviews, usability tests and stakeholder mapping, then work through Figma, code and hardware until the idea holds up.

I also bring a research mindset. I led a study on how street-network order shapes urban perception, published as a first-author paper in Buildings, and I’m now a research assistant in Cornell’s Architected Matter Group, working on inverse and generative design.
